Greta Doden
DVMEmergency Veterinarian
Dr. Greta Doden is currently a rotating associate veterinarian interested primarily in zoo medicine. She hopes to develop her skills as a veterinarian during her internship, before going on to work with zoo species. Her favorite aspect of zoo medicine is the variety of cases, much like emergency medicine.
Dr. Doden has a passion for wildlife as well as different zoo species. She has spent her vet school years volunteering in the Wildlife Medical Clinic and doing research with the Wildlife Epidemiology Lab. She has studied Salmonella in wild eastern box turtles and worked with tons of Illinois wildlife species. Dr. Doden’s favorite species to work with were barred owls due to their surprisingly easygoing personalities.
