Chrissy Giovannielli

MBA, CVT, VTS (SAIM)Director of Nursing

About

Veterinary nurses and assistants play an essential role in delivering high-quality patient care. Creating the programs, standards, and opportunities that help them use their skills to their fullest potential is key to advancing veterinary nursing as a rewarding, sustainable lifelong career.

At Ethos Veterinary Health, I serve as Director of Nursing, leading nursing strategy across our specialty and emergency hospitals. My work focuses on developing programs and standards that support clinical excellence, effective nursing operations, and meaningful career growth for veterinary nurses and assistants.

Before joining Ethos, I served as the first Regional Nursing Director for Veterinary Emergency Group, where I helped develop the organization’s nursing leadership structure and introduced data-driven approaches to improve nursing utilization, operational performance, and labor management. Earlier in my career, I held multiple nursing and operations leadership roles at Red Bank Veterinary Hospital, helping lead clinical standards, hospital operations, and team development.

With more than 20 years of experience, I am passionate about elevating the voice of veterinary nurses and assistants while advancing clinical excellence, operational performance, and professional development. I am a Veterinary Technician Specialist (VTS) in Small Animal Internal Medicine and serve on committees for both the National Association of Veterinary Technicians in America (NAVTA) and the New Jersey Veterinary Technicians & Assistants (NJVTA).
