Dr. Alexander Tun received his Bachelor of Arts from Amherst College with a music major. He went on to earn his VMD from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine in 2013. Dr. Tun then completed his small animal rotating internship at Angell Animal Medical Center in Boston, MA, followed by a neurology specialty internship at the Animal Specialty Center in Yonkers, NY. He finished his residency in veterinary neurology and neurosurgery back at the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine. He practiced neurology at VCA SFVS from 2018-2020 before joining the PESCM team. His clinical interests include inflammatory and degenerative brain diseases. He has two cats, an orange tabby named Thomas and a Maine Coon mix named Jezebel.

In His Spare Time
Dr. Tun achieved the rank of Eagle Scout while in the Boy Scouts of America. He played drums for his senior jazz performance thesis in college. In his spare time he makes reclaimed wood furniture.
