Omics Research-Based Identification of Targets in Sepsis (ORBITS)
Currently EnrollingSepsis is caused by a severe infection that enters the bloodstream and is associated with a high mortality rate. This high mortality rate has remained unchanged over the last three decades even though there has been active research in the area.

Metabolomics Trial to Evaluate for Systemic Consequences of Intestinal Dysbiosis
Currently EnrollingThe intestinal microbiota are highly functional, with a combined genome (termed the microbiome) that is approximately 130-160 times larger than the human or canine genome. The microbiome is a highly functional organ and produces approximately 1,000 different metabolites, many of which have systemic effects in the dog.

Pneumonia Pathogen Analysis
Currently EnrollingPneumonia (infection in the lungs) is a common diagnosis in dogs and cats and can be caused by a variety of pathogens (i.e., bacteria, viruses, fungal organisms). Collecting fluid samples from the lungs of patients with pneumonia allows for tests to be performed that can identify the organism causing the infection.

Long-Acting Analgesic for the Control of Elbow Pain in Dogs
Currently EnrollingThis is an exploratory study to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of concomitant intraarticular (IA) and peri-neural (PN) injections of an investigational veterinary product for the control of elbow pain in dogs. This 28-day study also includes a long term follow up at 3 and 6 months.

Evaluating the Tolerability of Combination of Verdinexor and Doxorubicin in Dogs with Cancer
Currently EnrollingVerdinexor is a chemotherapy drug that has been conditionally approved by the FDA for the treatment of canine lymphoma. Verdinexor is a selective inhibitor of nuclear export (SINE) compound, and this family of drug has demonstrated encouraging results in preclinical studies when combined with other chemotherapeutic drugs.

Evaluating the Tolerability of a Novel PCNA Inhibitor in Dogs with Cancer
Currently EnrollingProliferating cell nuclear antigen (PCNA) is an important protein necessary for the repair of DNA in cells. Cancer cells express a unique type of PCNA (termed caPCNA) which is only found at small quantities in non-cancer cells.

Safety and Effectiveness of Long-Acting Intra-Articular and Peri-Neural Injections for the Management of Elbow Pain in Dogs

Evaluating Benefit of a Novel Intra-articular Device in Dogs With a Suspected Cruciate Ligament Tear
Currently EnrollingThis pilot study in dogs with suspected cranial cruciate ligament rupture seeks to determine whether a benefit is seen through the intra-articular injection of a novel veterinary device product in the affected stifle joint.

Minimally Invasive Metastasectomy in Canines (MIMIC)
Currently EnrollingFollowing removal of the primary tumor and adjuvant chemotherapy, the development of lung metastasis is the most common cause of mortality in dogs with osteosarcoma. A distinctive feature of lung metastases of osteosarcoma in human patients is the surprising benefit that can result from surgical resection of the lung nodules. The use of surgery to

K9 Tumor And Blood Sampling for Osteosarcoma and Oral Melanoma (KABOOM)
Currently EnrollingNaturally occurring cancers in dogs have been as used as models for human cancers for many reasons; however, the genomic profiles of many of these cancers are still incompletely understood. Further definition of these genomic landscapes will allow for improved development of novel diagnostics and therapeutics to diagnose and treat these cancers. The objective of this

Ethos Precision Medicine Umbrella Study for Hemangiosarcoma (Ethos-PUSH)
Currently EnrollingEthos Discovery now seeks to deliver a highly advanced clinical trial program investigating the use of novel drugs for the treatment of Hemangiosarcoma (HSA) with the goal of curing this aggressive cancer. This study will ask if drugs specifically matched to the genomic subtypes of patients with HSA will result in improved outcomes.

Diet to replace Insulin Administration as a Better and Effective Treatment In Clinical (DIABETIC) Cats
Currently EnrollingA new cat diet has been shown to reduce body fat while maintaining lean muscle mass in cats. Accordingly, the following clinical study now seeks to determine if feeding this new diet without concurrent insulin therapy can induce insulin remission in cats with diabetes.
