Dog Friendly Apple Hill in Placerville, California

Apple Hill Growers

The Apple Hill Growers is in Placerville, California and has grown from 16 original ranchers to over 50 ranchers! It consists of Christmas tree growers and wineries, vineyards, wedding venues, a bed & breakfast, and more. You can find family friendly activities at many of the ranches and make a day out of it! My personal favorites are High Hill Ranch and Boa Vista Orchard. I love that being able to take my Rosie girl with me to do fall festivities since they are dog friendly!

High Hill Ranch

High Hill Ranch is known for their apple orchards among many other fun things to do like apple picking, fishing, face painting, and candle making. They have delicious, fall goodies at High Hill ranch like apple cider, pies, pumpkin/apple donuts, and caramel apples! You can check out a number of vendors selling their beautiful art. You can just spend all day walking around shopping or taking in the gorgeous views of the pond and mountains like shown in the photos below.

Boa Vista Orchard

Boa Vista Orchard is about 5 minutes down the road from High Hill ranch. Boa Vista offers wine tasting, a cider mill, and tasty desserts. You can’t miss the pumpkin patch they have there with the amazing view (and a great photo op) of the Tree ranch behind it. Rosie picked out a pumpkin and got lots of love while we walked around!
