Description: In the last decade, there have been many advances in the field of small animal gastroenterology. With discussions around fecal microbiome transplants, synbiotics and probiotics, new GI imaging tools, and biomarkers, it can be challenging to translate the evidence around these new diagnostic and treatment modalities to the clinical management of dogs and cats. This case-based discussion will focus on real-life application of some of these tools to allow for optimized management of acute and chronic GI diseases.

Topic: Navigating Complex Hepatic and Pancreatic Case Conundrums: Expert Insights and Solutions
Description: In the last decade, there have been many advances in the field of veterinary hepatology and pancreatology. With new diagnostic options including serologic testing, PCR diagnostics, imaging, and cytologic or histologic evaluations, it can be challenging to know how to apply these new tools into the clinical management of hepatic and pancreatic diseases in dogs and cats. Newer treatments are also available, including leukocyte function inhibitors like fuzapladib and other immunosuppressive agents. This case-based discussion will focus on real-life applications of these diagnostic modalities to optimize the treatment and management of both acute and chronic hepatic and pancreatic conditions.
