Date Night With Your Pup: Sacramento Edition
Sometimes, you just want a quality date out of the house with your pup (well behaved & leashed, of course). Luckily, Sacramento and the surrounding areas have some great options! No matter what your idea of a good time is, switch up your pup’s daily walk by bringing them to a local dog-friendly restaurant or spot below!
Drake’s: The Barn
A night out with music, dancing, food, drinks, and your best friend! Drake’s: The Barn in West Sacramento, CA is a family friendly, all ages place that has something for everybody to do. You can go to Drake’s to hang out with your friends and their dogs, play games, or sit with your pup and relax! Drake’s is located right along the river in West Sacramento, so it has a great view and is close to downtown Sacramento. Drake’s has a very fun and up-beat vibe with music and games for all ages. They hold many different events like yoga, parties, and movie nights. There is truly something for everyone, including your dog!
Lazy Dog Restaurant & Bar
Dinner, drinks, and a dog menu! Lazy Dog Restaurant & Bar is perfect for a low-key and relaxing dinner with your people and your dog. Not only do they have a variety of foods on the human menu, but they also have a menu for your pup! I normally order the Hamburger and brown rice plate for my dog, and she is never disappointed (except when her food is all gone). If you do bring your pup, there is an outdoor patio with a fire pit for winter days and shaded cover for summer days. As you may be able to see, Lazy Dog is focused around dogs & their people and provides a place where everyone can enjoy good food together! They have a few other locations, one in Roseville and another in Folsom!
Bru Coffee House
Bru Coffee House is a cute little coffee shop in Loomis, CA. Bru is my personal favorite spot to go when I want to relax with a cup of coffee and my dog, but still want to get out of the house! They have a spacious patio with a window to place an order if you have a pet with you. Bru has iced and hot drinks, pastries, and smoothies. If you are someone who works from home or a student with homework to do, Bru offers Wi-Fi. Come here to relax, sit back, and spend some quality downtime with your dog.
University Of Beer
University of Beer is not only a restaurant but also a bar and hangout spot! They have a few locations in the surrounding area (i.e., Roseville, Rocklin, Folsom, Sacramento) with different food options ranging from burgers to sushi. When you bring your dog with you to sit on the patio, you can order a plate for them as well. Not only would your pup be excited to get a special meal, but it also creates great socialization opportunities for them. Certain days of the week your dog can eat free as long as you purchase a burger, sandwich, or wrap! UOB also offers free meals for children on Tuesdays, so both of your babies get a good free meal!
Dueling Dogs Brewing Co
Dueling Dogs Brewing Co can be found in Lincoln, CA and is a family friendly, dog-friendly farm brewery! They have a tasting room with beers, ciders, wine, and mead for sampling. If it’s cool enough outside, there is a patio for you and your pup to sit and enjoy drinks or have a picnic together. They have snacks you can purchase, or you can bring your own with you! They often have a huge variety of events planned and things to do with family. They recently held activities including Friday night music, a fall festival, and food trucks!
