Dr. Nicole Barrella graduated from Ross University in 2012 after completing her clinical year at the University of Pennsylvania. In 2013, she completed a small animal rotating internship at VCA Veterinary Referral and Emergency Center in Norwalk, CT. She then completed a three-year residency in emergency and critical care at Massachusetts Veterinary Referral Hospital in Woburn, MA. She joined the emergency and critical care team at Bulger in August of 2016. Following publication in November 2017, she became board certified in emergency and critical care in October 2020. She enjoys transfusion medicine, wound management, and emergency endocrinopathies.
