Dr. Mattisen DiRubio grew up in Lincoln, Rhode Island and went to undergraduate school in Nova Scotia, Canada. After undergrad, she worked as a farmer at a kids farm camp, before going to veterinary school in Grenada, W.I. After which she went back to the cold in Ithaca, NY for her clinical year and then back to New England for a rotating internship at a BluePearl hospital.
Did you know, Dr. DiRubio rescued her dog, Guava, from the streets of Grenada when I was a veterinary student? But that's not all, her cat, Cutey, lived until she was 22!
