Preparing Pets and Families: National Preparedness Month at IVECCS 2025
September 15, 2025September is National Preparedness Month, a reminder of the importance of planning ahead for life’s unexpected moments. To honor that mission, we proudly partnered with American Humane Society during IVECCS 2025 to give back in a meaningful way.
At our privately hosted event, Tacos & Tail Wags, veterinary professionals and students enjoyed a relaxed evening of festive fare, great conversation, and meaningful networking—all while assembling 300 emergency kits for American Humane Society to share with families when the unexpected happens. Each kit was thoughtfully designed with essentials such as a leash, collapsible water bowl, and a preparedness checklist to help families protect their pets during emergencies. Together, we created a resource that empowers pet owners to plan ahead and keep their animals safe in times of need.

Special thanks to all our guests who packed bags with such enthusiasm and heart. We look forward to continuing our partnership with American Humane Society!
