Sea Turtles at Mass Vet: National Geographic Spotlight
At Mass Vet we are very proud to have played a small role in the important rehabilitation work that the New England Aquarium has been doing on behalf of the Kemp’s Ridley Sea Turtle. We are also very excited to have our very own Dr. Jennifer Brisson, DACVR, and our CT equipment featured in a National Geographic pictorial spotlight on the important work they are all doing on behalf of the most endangered sea turtle in the world.
Dr. Brisson has participated in sea turtle rescue and rehabilitation with the New England Aquarium since 1999. Dr. Brisson provides imaging and consultation using our advanced diagnostic imaging tools including: Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Computed Tomography (CT), radiography, and ultrasound.
“I am very proud to be able to offer specialized diagnostic imaging to these amazing creatures and their medical teams, and equally so to be part of a hospital and organization that fosters such work,” Dr. Brisson said. An image from our CT scan with a sea turtle made the publication. We are so proud of our teams and Dr. Brisson for constantly going above and beyond to help the animals in our community, big or small.
