Where Advanced Medicine Meets Opportunity: Westbridge Veterinary Referral Hospital

July 24, 2026

For more than 50 years, Westbridge Veterinary Referral Hospital (WVRH), an Ethos network hospital, has provided advanced emergency and specialty care for pets across southern Massachusetts. Today, the hospital is continuing to build its legacy with expanded services, new leadership, and continued investment in clinical excellence.

Led by Jolene Michelle Babyak, MS, DVM, DACVECC, WVRH’s Emergency and Critical Care service offers full 24/7 coverage. Within this talented medical team, emergency veterinarians work alongside experienced specialists to manage complex, high-acuity cases that foster clinical confidence, skill development, and professional growth. Veterinarians can also expand their surgical skills with hands-on training from surgical specialists and experienced emergency doctors.

At WVRH, growth is supported through a culture of collaboration, mentorship, and continuous learning. As part of the Ethos network, veterinary professionals gain access to a national community of emergency and specialty professionals, opportunities to participate in clinical research through Ethos Discovery, and a robust library of learning resources to support career development, including access to over 40 veterinary journals, hundreds of additional publications, and nearly 450 electronic textbooks.

WVRH’s 14,000-square-foot facility is equipped with on-site ultrasound, digital radiography, endoscopy, and a full diagnostic lab, providing clinicians with all the tools they need to deliver a range of patient care. Located in Plymouth County, the hospital sits midway between Boston and Cape Cod, offering access to vibrant city life, coastal escapes, and everything in between.

If you’re curious about advancing your career in emergency and specialty medicine alongside an unrivaled team built on mentorship, collaboration, and innovation, we’d love to connect! Visit our Career Opportunities page to learn more, or email your CV or resume to [email protected].
