This important work provides veterinarians with essential guidelines for implementing fecal microbiota transplantation (FMT), a promising, minimally invasive procedure that transfers feces from healthy donors to modify the gut microbiome of sick animals.
With practical insights into donor screening and program setup, the article emphasizes how feasible and beneficial FMT can be for improving companion animal health.
