About
Dr. Zachary Kern was born and grew up outside of Chicago (in Evanston and Skokie). He attended the University of Pennsylvania for his undergraduate degree, later returning for veterinary school. He went on to complete specialty training at two private practices in New York and a small animal internal medicine residency at NC State University. He finished residency and passed his board examination in 2019.
Dr. Kern enjoys all aspects of internal medicine, but especially loves endoscopy, immune-mediated disease, and education.
Prior to veterinary school, Dr. Kern spent two years living in Japan and is an avid runner. Dr. Kern lives at home with his wife, two kids, and an energetic Labrador/pit bull mix named Ethyl.
