Dr. Ann Bettencourt is a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Radiology. She received her undergraduate and Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Purdue University.
Following veterinary school she completed a small animal rotating internship at Animal Emergency and Referral Center outside of Chicago, as well as a diagnostic imaging internship in San Diego.
Dr. Bettencourt’s love of physics directed her towards a career in radiology. She was accepted to the diagnostic imaging residency program at the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine and became board-certified with the American College of Veterinary Radiology in 2013. Although she is fascinated by all of the imaging modalities and their relationship to veterinary medicine, her special interests include nuclear medicine and feline thyroid disease.
In her free time she enjoys any and all sporting activities and endless chuck-it tosses with her Labrador retriever.
