Clinical Studies

Equine Glandular Gastric Disease Study

Study Overview 

The primary objective of this study is to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of an investigational veterinary product in the treatment of equine glandular gastric disease (EGGD) as compared to a control product.  

Eligibility Criteria 

  • Horse is > 12 months old 
  • Horse weighs ≥ 220.5lbs 
  • Horse must not be pregnant, lactating, or intended for breeding during this study or in the 40 days after, or a breeding stallion 
  • Horse must not be currently receiving any ulcer treatment such as omeprazole, compounded injectable omeprazole, sucralfate, or other medications 
  • Horse must be on the same diet and any supplements for at least the full month prior to enrollment 
  • Horse must be in good general health (in the opinion of the Study Veterinarian) 

Study Timeline 

  • 4 week study period 
  • 5 clinic visits over study duration
