Whitney’s passion for veterinary medicine started very young when she and her childhood friend made a “vet club” where they took care of stuffed animals and bandaged them up. In 2010 Whitney decided to further this club and started her career in veterinary medicine. After graduating from the veterinary technology program at Carrington College California in January of 2011, Whitney became a licensed RVT in May of 2011. Whitney worked in general practice for five years before she joined Vista in 2014 where she found her true passion was working in emergency medicine. Whitney is now one of two supervisors of the emergency and critical care department. In her spare time, Whitney enjoys spending time with her husband, who is in the U.S. Air Force, their three-year-old son and their yellow lab named Cooper. Whitney has helped rescue and re-home multiple dogs and cats and made sure they went to loving homes. Family and friends are important to Whitney, and she makes sure that when she’s not at work, she’s spending time with her loved ones and enjoying all that life has to offer.
