Boston Marathon'er
Dr. Evans is an avid runner and completed the Boston Marathon in 2015. She enjoys hiking with her English Setter/hound mix Odie and skiing/snowshoeing in the winter. She also likes to unwind by cooking!
Dr. Evans received her Bachelor’s degree from Middlebury College in Vermont, and went on to receive both her veterinary degree and PhD from the University of Pennsylvania as part of the VMD/PhD combined degree program. During her PhD in Cell and Molecular Biology, she studied under the mentorship of Robert H. Vonderheide, Director of the Abramson Cancer Center. Her dissertation focused on the application of immunotherapies in pancreatic cancer. Dr. Evans has professional interests in oncology, critical care, and translational medicine/clinical research.
