Dr. Holmes was born and raised in Savannah, GA. After graduating with a major in Biology from Georgia Southern University, she obtained her veterinary degree from the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine. She then completed her rotating small animal internship at the Veterinary Specialty Hospital in San Diego, CA. Following her internship, she moved to Massachusetts where she completed a residency in radiation oncology at the Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University. Upon completion of her residency, she became board certified with the American College of Veterinary Radiology in the discipline of radiation oncology. Dr. Holmes then pursued a postdoctoral fellowship at Colorado State University where she gained advanced training in intensity-modulated and stereotactic radiation therapy.
Dr. Holmes’ primary clinical interests include intensity-modulated radiation therapy in the setting of conventional fractionation as well as the delivery of stereotactic radiotherapy. She is specifically interested in developing individualized treatment protocols for each of her patients and their families.
Dr. Holmes lives with her husband, son and their two cats, Charlie and Kevin.
