Miriam Horowitz

DVMEmergency & Critical Care Veterinarian

Dr. Miriam Horowitz was born in Vermont. She lived in Hanover New Hampshire until she was five years old, when her family moved to San Antonio, Texas. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology from Texas A&M University and a Master of Arts degree in Comparative Endocrinology from the University of California, Berkeley. After graduation from veterinary school at the University of California, Davis, Dr. Horowitz completed an internship in large animal medicine and surgery at Texas A&M and a residency in large animal internal medicine at the University of California, Davis. After that she took time off to fulfill a lifelong dream to thru-hike the Appalachian Trail. Deciding it was time to move back to the east coast, she worked for four years in a small animal general and emergency practice in Rhode Island. She relocated to the Upper Valley in 2008.

She lives in Lebanon, New Hampshire with her husband, daughter, dog and three cats and spends most of her free time gardening.
