Dr. Lindsay Nussbaum knew from an early age that she wanted to become a veterinary surgeon. She completed her undergraduate studies in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry at Wesleyan University in Connecticut. She then went on to receive her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from the Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine in 2013.
After she obtained her DVM, Dr. Nussbaum completed a rotating internship in small animal medicine and surgery in Tinton Falls, NJ, where she also stayed on for her first small animal surgical internship. She then completed a second surgical internship in Planview, NY, not far from where she grew up. Ultimately, Dr. Nussbaum completed a three year surgical residency at Red Bank Veterinary Hospital in Tinton Falls, NJ in 2019 and became a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons (Small Animal) in 2020.
Dr. Nussbaum’s practice includes both soft tissue and orthopedic surgery, with a particular interest in emergency abdominal surgery and hepatobiliary procedures. Prior to joining the team at Mass Vet, she spent a year working as a surgeon in Clearwater, Florida. When not working, Dr. Nussbaum enjoys playing acoustic guitar and spending time with her three-legged dog Lola.
