Dr. Goodman received her Bachelor of Science degree from Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, graduating with Honors in Biology, Magna Cum Laude in May 1997. She then completed her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine in May 2001. She completed her Small Animal Internal Medicine Residency from University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Veterinary Medicine in July 2006 and completed her Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine on July 31, 2008. Dr. Goodman completed her Oncology Residency from the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine in September 2010.

Prior to working at WVRC, Dr. Goodman completed her residency and became boarded in Oncology. Before that, she completed a one year research fellowship at the University of Georgia. Her research focus was pain management for dogs and cats. Dr. Goodman also worked at the University of Georgia as a clinical instructor in the Small Animal Internal Medicine department.

On what she enjoys most about working at WVRC…“I chose to focus my career in veterinary oncology because I want to help pets with cancer live happily for as long as possible. I know that this can be a devastating diagnosis, but in many pets and many families, I am able to make a positive difference.”
