Dr. Mallo graduated in 2016 and started her career as a primary care veterinarian in the Greater Milwaukee area. She elected to dive further into emergency medicine and pursued an ER-focused internship (at Wisconsin Veterinary Referral Center) in 2018, joining their emergency/critical care team after its completion. “I understand how stressful emergency situations can be for pets, but more so for their owners. My goal is to reduce this stress, communicate thoroughly, and develop the best treatment plan for every member of the family.”
While Dr. Mallo will always be an Illini fan (she did spend 8 years there for undergrad and vet school after all), she has very much embraced the Wisconsin way of life for good. She and her husband have a young daughter and two furkids – they all enjoy exploring the outdoors, visiting craft breweries (milk for baby of course!), and enjoying Wisconsin’s #1 food group – cheese!
