Dr. Brian Cassell is a graduate of the Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Cassell’s experience includes more than 25 years of diverse experience in the veterinary profession and animal health industry, including clinical practice, practice ownership and sale, organizational consulting, executive leadership and pharmaceutical start up. He co-founded the Anne Arundel Veterinary Emergency Clinic in Annapolis, MD, an emergency and critical care referral practice with tenant practices in various specialties. As president of the hospital he had primary responsibility for all day-to-day operations.
In 2005, he founded Dynamic Veterinary Concepts, a consulting company providing organizational and strategic development, primarily to specialty practices as well as general practices and financial institutions. He was involved with the design and implementation of the VetPartners-NCVEI Referral Practice Benchmarking survey and participated in the AAVMC Foresight Project on the future of veterinary medical education. He is a presenter at National Conferences and Veterinary Colleges and has authored two chapters in the book “5-Minute Veterinary Practice Management Consult” including “Veterinary Practice Models of the Future” and “Adding Emergency Services.”
Dr. Cassell co-founded MOON, an innovative veterinary collaborative, and served as CEO for several years, and then worked for Zoetis for several years as Senior Regional Strategic Veterinarian with the Veterinary Strategic Services team.
As the Chief Strategy Officer, Dr. Cassell is focused on Ethos’ strategic direction and processes, and ensuring that execution supports the business strategy. He has key roles in business development, including Mergers & Acquisitions and Strategic Alliances, and in developing and supporting organizational culture and executive team culture.
