I am currently completing an oncology specialty internship at The Oncology Service. Prior to this position, I completed a fellowship in bone marrow transplantation and apheresis at North Carolina State University, an oncology specialty internship at The Animal Medical Center in New York City and a rotating internship at VCA Animal Specialty Group, Los Angeles.
I grew up in Los Angeles, CA where I developed a passion for oncology after the loss of my mother. She inspired my fortitude and resilience. I attended the University of California, Davis where I majored in Neurobiology, Physiology, and Behavior with a minor in Psychology.
After obtaining my undergraduate degree, I worked for The Jackson Laboratory and as a junior research scientist at UC Davis School of Medicine, Comprehensive Oncology Center. During my time as a researcher, I furthered my knowledge in cancer pathobiology, research development, advanced cancer therapeutics, and translational medicine. I am a published author with a passion to treat patients diagnosed with cancer. As a clinician, I share the common goal of improving quality of life for the cancer patient, their families, and providing attentive care to ensure the best decisions are made for each patient and their family.
When not in the hospital, I enjoy spending time with my husband and my pup, visiting museums, cooking/baking, and art/design. I am also CFO/Founder of Precision Massage and Healing, Inc., a unique non-profit where I am part of a movement that helps improve wellbeing, endurance, and health.
